Welcome to Stansted Mountfitchet
With more than 4,000 acres Stansted Mountfitchet, or Stansted as it is more commonly known, is one of the largest parishes in Essex. Stansted is one of the few communities in Uttlesford where there are regular contested elections for the Parish Council. For electoral purposes our village is divided into two wards, North and South. After the local elections in May 2023 there are 12 Parish Councillors to represent and serve Stansted’s community of 8.600 residents.
