MP thanks residents for their support

An update from MP for the newly created constituency of North West Essex – Kemi Badenoch

It is a privilege to have been re-elected to be your Member of Parliament and I am grateful that you have put your trust in me to represent you once again.

To all those who supported my campaign; the volunteers, members and local councillors who joined me to make the case for a Conservative voice here in North West Essex, thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you.

We knocked on doors all across Uttlesford and Chelmsford, and delivered tens of thousands of leaflets to get our message out. Of course, I will continue as always, to represent the best interests of everyone in the constituency whether or not they voted for me.

It has been a busy two weeks since the election. Some highlights have been being sworn in as the Member of Parliament for North West Essex, attending the historic Flitch Trials in Dunmow over the weekend, and taking part in the King’s Speech Debate on Planning, Greenbelt and Rural Affairs as Shadow Secretary of State of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

It is the greatest honour of my life to represent you, be that by scrutinising legislation in Parliament, or securing investment and improvements here in North West Essex. I will do so with renewed vigour and energy.

As always, if you have any issues or concerns you wish to raise, please email me at kemi.badenoch.mp@parliament.uk
