D-Day Commemoration Service

D-Day Commemoration Service

Join us on June 6 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-day Landings

Seventeen brave servicemen from our village gave their lives fighting in the Second World War for the freedoms we enjoy today.

The Parish Council along with St John’s Church will hold a short service to honour of their sacrifice at 11 am on 6th June, as part as nationwide events to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The service in the Memorial Gardens on Chapel Hill will be led by Rev Dr Colin Fairweather. The church will then host a dedication and laying of a commemorative plaque from the residents of Rungis.

All residents and local organisations are welcome to join in the event.

We would love to see you there.
