Coronation Plaque Donation Welcome

Coronation Plaque Donation Welcome

Can you help the us fund a plaque to commemorate the King’s Coronation?

Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council recently refurbished the Coronation Shelter on Chapel Hill, and hope to commemorate King Charles’ Coronation by adding a stone plaque to accompany the plaque erected for the Coronation of the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

We are asking if any individuals or local businesses would consider making a donation to help finance the production and installation of the new stone plaque.

The cost of the plaque and installation has been quoted at just under £2,000.

All donations will be mentioned on our social media page, in the village magazine The Link, and anyone donating over £500 will also have a small, engraved brass plaque placed in the Coronation Shelter.

Should you wish for any further information, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

How to donate

If you wish to contribute, please contact the Parish Council office via info@stanstedmountfitchet-pc.gov.uk.

If we are not able to raise the necessary funds for the plaque by 14th June, we will refund any donations made, hence it is important for you to let us have your details via email.
