Water Lane is to close from August 29 for three days to allow Affinity Water to complete repairs in the area.
Essex County Council have issued a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for Water Lane in Stansted Mountfitchet.
There is no alternative route available during the closure which starts from Tuesday, August 29.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The work will start from a point approximately 150m south west of its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Affinity Water undertakes repair and renew service pipe.
Affinity Water say there is likely to be little disruption to road users during these types of works.
The order is issued under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1).
