80th Commemoration of D’Day
On Thursday June 6 residents came together in the Memorial Gardens to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. The service was taken by Rev Dr. Colin Fairweather and St John’s choir for leading the singing There were over a 100 people in attendance, many of whom stayed to observe the unveiling of a plaque from the people of Rungis honouring those who fought to liberate Europe.
