Stansted Windmill Fete

The Stansted Millers’ fete is a highly popular village event that features kid’s entertainment, bouncy castles and inflatables, crockery smashing, tea and cakes by the W.I., as well as ice-cream vans and craft stalls. Proceeds from the fete are used to fund maintenance projects needed to keep the Windmill open to the public.
The grade II* listed Windmill will also be open for viewing as part of the event. Admission to the windmill is £2 for adults, 50p for children, free for Under-5s.
Children are welcome: they must be under adult supervision while visiting the Mill. The ground floor of the Mill is up two steps. Access to higher floors is by fixed ladders. For safety reasons, entry to upper floors for very young children is at the steward’s discretion, as is the total number upstairs at any one time.
