Highways Sub-committee

Members of the Council you are hereby summoned, and members of the public and press are hereby invited to attend a meeting of the HIGHWAYS SUB-COMMITTEE which will be held on Wednesday 14^th February 2024 at 7.30pm in The Mountfitchet Exchange, Crafton Green, 72 Chapel Hill, Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex.

Please note there is no time set aside for public participation at this meeting. But you are welcome to contact committee members both before and after the meeting if you wish to raise a point about the topics discussed.

AGENDA

1  To receive apologies for absence

2  To receive declarations of interest

3  To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 18^th October 2023

4  To receive an update on action points

5  To receive a report from the Chair, Cllr Geoffrey Sell

6  To receive an update from County Councillor Ray Gooding on highways projects for Stansted Mountfitchet

7  To appoint a member of the sub-Committee to review licences granted for roadworks and consider any impact they will have on the highway network

8  To decide whether to resubmit our request to Essex Highways to remove the chicanes on Church Road

9 To decide whether to resubmit our application to ULHP for Gateway Markers at the entrances to the village – see example images attached

10 To note the following issues raised with Essex Highways:

a) Re-instatement of verges – Walson Way

b) Removal of tree debris following storms – High Lane, Cambridge Road & Five Acres

c) Various potholes around the village

d) Streetlights in Gilbey Crescent

11  To receive reports on (attached for members)

a) S106 projects submitted

b) Uttlesford Local Highways Panel projects submitted

c) North Essex Parking Partnership projects submitted
