Members of the Council you are hereby summoned, and members of the public and press are hereby invited, to attend a meeting of the FINANCE AND GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE which will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday 28^th June 2023 in The Mountfitchet Exchange, Crafton Green, 72 Chapel Hill, Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex where the following business will be transacted:

AGENDA

1    To receive apologies for absence

2   To receive declarations of interest

3  To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 17^th May 2023

4  To receive an update on action points from the last meeting

5  To receive a report from the Chair, Cllr O’Brien

6 Lighting:

a) To receive an outage report

b) To receive a general report on lighting

7   Finance: To approve the list of payments for authorisation – To be tabled

8  Savings Accounts – to authorise the three signatories on the Council’s accounts (the Clerk, Cllrs Caton and Sell) to open new savings accounts at UK banks/building societies in line with the Council’s Investment Strategy. This includes opening a    Public Sector Deposit Fund account with the CCLA, Savings Accounts at Cambridge and Counties and any other appropriate banks/building societies.

9  Banking – to authorise the three signatories named above to proceed with the switch to a Unity Trust Bank current account.

10 To appoint a fourth signatory on the Council’s accounts to enable payments to be  authorised in a timely manner e.g., if one of the other signatories is on holiday.

11  Five Acres Cabinet – To consider the remedial proposals put forward by Gigaclear – to follow

12  Christmas Lights – To receive an update from Cllr O’Brien

13  Crafton Green – To receive any updates on the community buildings

14  Windmill – To receive any updates

15   Youth Matters – To receive any updates

16  Staff Matters – To receive any available updates
