MINUTES of a meeting of the EMERGENCY PLANNING SUB-COMMITTEE held at 7.00pm on Wednesday 20th April 2022 in The Mountfitchet Exchange, Crafton Green, 72 Chapel Hill, Stansted Mountfitchet, Essex

438 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST – None
439 TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD ON 12TH MARCH 2018 AND 8TH MAY 2019
RESOLVED to approve the minutes of the meetings held on 12th March 2018 and 8th May 2019 and also the minutes of the meeting held on 12th May 2021 as true and accurate accounts.
Cllr Caton commented that during Covid the Crisis Management Team met regularly and minutes are available if anyone wished to see them.
440 VILLAGE PLAN UPDATE AND COMMENTS
Cllr Jessup advised that the plan had not been updated since 2019. The Clerk has been working on the updated flood plan but it hasn’t moved much further than that. After discussions regarding the flood plan it was agreed that the plan should stay with the Flood Working Group and a representative of that group should attend future Emergency Planning meetings.
Cllr O’Brien commented on the flood storage unit and that Essex County Council plan to redevelop the Youth Centre grounds. Will they allow us to keep the unit there? Cllr Jessup agreed to contact County Councillor Gooding to discuss.
Cllr Jessup advised that he would be contacting all respite centres to check they were still happy to be kept on the list.
It was agreed that all members would read through the Village Plan before the next meeting and suggest changes/amendments/updates.
441 FLOOD PLANNING UPDATE AND INCORPORATION INTO VILLAGE PLAN
As above, this is going to stay with the Flood Working Group and a representative will be asked to attend Emergency Planning meetings.
442 DATE OF NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is planned for 12th October 2022 but will be brought forward if needed.
