Replacement service announced for 301 Bus Route

Essex County Council have announced details of the replacement services that will start from Monday in Uttlesford on routes affected by a bus operator’s decision to no longer operate on certain routes.

The county council say free-replacement buses will operate from tomorrow (Monday, 15 April) for the following services:

  • 301
  • 316
  • 318
  • 319
  • 320
  • 321

301 Service Update

A2B Travel Group will operate this service, with the exception being at 15:28 each day when Stephensons of Essex will do so.

Travel will be free until registrations are completed – we will advise when this is the case.

Essex County Council  would like to thank these operators for their rapid response and support.

Apology: Essex County Council

Essex County Council(ECC) would like to apologise for the distress caused to residents by the disappointing actions of the bus operator.

ECC fully understand people’s concern and have therefore worked with other operators to put as many journeys as possible in place for Monday.  These will target school and peak journeys which are the most used, in the first instance.

From Monday 15th April the following services will be operated by either A2B Travel Group or Stephensons of Essex.

Travel will be free until registrations are completed – we will advise when this is the case.

ECC would like to thank these operators for their rapid response and support.

ECC will continue to work with A2B Travel Group and Stephensons to provide the full service as soon as possible.
