Waste Collection Update

Waste Collection Update

The latest update by the district council on their “patchwork” refuse service has no news of when refuse trucks will be heading to Stansted.

Uttlesford District Council will be starting waste collections in Great and Little Hallingbury and Hatfield Broad Oak today (Thursday) and then moving on to Thaxted later in the day.

Collections happened yesterday in Hatfield Heath, some of Great Hallingbury and Woodlands Park, Dunmow.

As they did today, a team of staff will be out ahead of the lorries ensuring as far as possible the correct bins are out ready for collection.

Uttlesford District Council will continue to increase capacity over the coming days whilst we await for the decision from the Traffic Commissioner on our interim licence.

Please continue to leave your residual/general waste bins and food waste caddies out for collection and they will be collected as soon as possible.

Recycled & Garden Waste

Uttlesford District Council will not be collecting any recycling bins or garden waste this week. Recycling collections will restart from the week commencing 12 February. A further update on garden waste collections will be provided in the next few days.

Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your patience as we work to get the service back on track.
