The roadworks on Church Road and Forest Hall Road have bene stopped by Essex Highways.
Essex Highways has informed the Parish Council they have taken decisions to reduce traffic congestion in the village, which yesterday saw the closure of Stansted Road for Affinity Water maintenance work.
Roadworks along Church Road have now been stopped. The temporary traffic lights used will be withdrawn by tonight.
Traffic lights were also to have been employed for two days of work by Gigaclear along Church Road, starting today. The permit for this work has been withdrawn by Essex Highways.
