Work should be completed by 6pm today to remove the barriers blocking traffic along the B1383 (Stanted Road).
In their place a three-way traffic management system will be in operation controlling traffic into and out of the Forest Hall Road junction.
The lights will remain for the next week (possibly longer) until Affinity Water install a new water main in the area.
Compensation

The policy document from Affinity Water explains the legal basis for compensation is Schedule 12 of the Water Industry Act 1991.
It says to be entitled to compensation you must prove that:
- You have sustained particular loss or damage other than, and beyond, the general inconvenience experienced by the public and this loss was direct and substantial.
- Your premises must be sufficiently close to the site of our works for a clear causal link to be made between the works and the loss.
If you consider you may be entitled to compensation, you can email details of your claim to claimsteam@affinitywater.co.uk or write to at Tamblin Way, Hatfield, AL10 9EZ. Claims will be acknowledged within 5 working days of receipt.
