The Essex County Council (Footpath 19, Stansted Mountfitchet) – Temporary Prohibition of Use Order
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 19, Stansted Mountfitchet in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with High Lane for its entire length to its junction with Gall End Lane.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 09 September 2025 to 09 March 2026 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works/culvert works and new foul connection are undertaken.
Alternative route: Gall End Lane, High Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 09 September 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
