Sanjukta Ghosh

Sanjukta Ghosh is a professional historian based at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London, and has been a Uttlesford residents for more than 20 years. During that time she has volunteered for Saffron Walden branch of Save the Children and for the former youth organisation, the Stansted Pilots. Sanjukta is proud to have convened the Uttlesford Women’s Focus group and to have organised a petition to end period poverty in the district. Sanjukta would like as a parish councillor to set up initiatives to celebrate diversity within the community and to develop local green spaces and to promote sustainable economic development in Stansted. She stood as a Labour candidate for the district councillor elections in 2023.
