Can you help ensure the health and vitality of trees looked after by Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council?
The Parish Council would like to hear from individuals with a passion for trees willing to act as its Tree Warden.
What does a tree warden do?
A Tree Warden works in a voluntary capacity to help the Parish Council make assessments on the health and safety of trees on land that they have a duty of care for.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Look into situations where trees that pose a risk to property
- Assess trees that pose a risk to public health and safety of the public, for example near council playgrounds
- Conduct site inspections
- Advise the Parish Council when to contract professional tree management services to fell sick or dangerous branches
- To become knowledgable of SMPC Tree Management Policy
- Possess or willing to become Level 2 qualified in basic tree surveying
