Sustainable Stansted are inviting you to come in from the cold next Saturday at St Theresa’s Hall to find ways to heat your home for less money this winter.
Volunteers from the local green group will be at St Theresa’s from 11am to 4pm to share with you ways to stop your energy bills becoming too scary while doing your bit to fight the climate crisis.
At the Energy Saving and Sustainability Open Day you find out how to
- save up to 90% of lighting costs
- identify areas in the home where heat leaks
- access grants to pay for energy-saving tech
- arrange for a FREE energy-saving advice session
The event at the hall, which is located off High Lane, is free. There will be other organisations on hand sharing their knowledge.
The open day follows on the back of Sustainable Stansted recent distribution of a leaflet promoting energy savings tips to homes around Stansted Mountfitchet in recent weeks.
The local community group was set up in 2022. It aims to support individuals and local business reduce their impact on the environment and help Uttlesford reach its net-zero carbon emission goal by 2030.
You can find out more about the group and their event on October 5 by visting sustainablestansted.org or emailing sustainablestansted@gmail.com.
