Last week a grass cut took place at the Recreation Ground to prepare for site surveys that will get under way in the next week or two.
The first of two surveys will be carried out by Laser Surveys in the middle of next week.
A ground penetrating radar survey, which will take 3 days, will be completed by the company the following week. This survey is needed to assess the stability of the earth beneath the Recreation Ground.
Survey reports will take 9 to 11 working days to complete.
The Parish Council will then be a position to decide whether it is safe to reopen the Recreation Ground for public use.
We ask residents not to use this public open space and to respect the fencing around it in the meantime.
Again we apologise for the inconvenience caused to residents by the Recreation Ground’s closure.
We continue to work to reopen the Rec at the earliest possible time.
