As a parish council we have no authority to grant planning permission. That is a responsibility of the Planning Department at Uttlesford District Council.
If you wish to find out how to go about applying for planning permission, you should head to the Planning and Building Control page of the UDC website.
There you will also be able to view planning applications made by other parties and search how to appeal a planning decision.
Planning & the Parish Council
As a parish council, we are statutory consultees in the planning process.
This means that although we cannot approve or reject an application, we can comment on planning applications.
Whenever an application is made with the district council that is relevant to our parish and residents, the Parish Council will be notified and will appear as an agenda item at the next available Full Council meeting.
At the meeting Parish Councillors will discuss and ultimately vote on the merits of a scheme. Once voted on the council’s comments will be passed to the planning departments at Uttlesford for their consideration.
