Parish Councillors Depart

Parish Councillors Depart

Four of our councillors decided to step down from the Full Council during the course of May’s local elections.

Once the deadline had passed to register as a candidate to join the Parish Council on April 5, we were informed by the Uttlesford Electoral Officer 12 candidates had put themselves forward to represent Stansted’s residents, three less than the number of seats available on the Parish Council.

The 12 chosen by uncontested election will now have the opportunity to propose names of individuals from our community to be considered for co-option to the remaining seats.

The four councillors who decided to step down were  John Hudson, Matt Jessup, Fran Richards and Thomas Smith.

We would like to thank them for their work as Parish Councillors, as we welcome our newest members to join the Full Council, Allan Love
