Ideas for Burton End Post Box, please?

Residents of Burton End are being asked for their views on the future of the phone box next to the Parish Council noticeboard there.

In the last 12 months the phone box has been used to make just 3 calls, says BT who own it.

They are in consultation with Uttlesford District Council about the future of the phone box.

BT plan to get rid of the phone box.

An alternative option, however, is to repurpose it for another community use.

Turn it into something different

BT says thousands of pay phone boxes have been reinvented as cafes, mini-libraries, and defibrillator sites.

Communities can adopt most red boxes for just £1.

If you do with to see the phone kept for another use, you will have to hurry.

The consultation is to end of Wednesday, 30th April, just over a week away.
