Highways questions, please

Highways questions, please

We are asking for your questions on major highways issues affecting the village to raise with Essex County Cllr Tom Cunningham ahead of his attendance at our Full Council Meeting on November 13.

Cllr Cunningham is the portfolio holder for Highways, Infrastructure and Sustainable Transport at the County Council.

At the meeting the Full Council will raise the major highways issues affecting the village – including Grove Hill, HGVs, flooding and the traffic calming scheme along Church Road, future strategy to deal with capacity along the B1383 and how Essex Highways responds to planning applications.

The issues of potholes, whilst important, are dealt with by reporting to Essex Highways online, but the more general issue of lack of regular maintenance in Stansted will also be raised by us.

Time need for full answers

If you have a question you would like us to ask Cllr Cunningham, email us at info@stanstedmountfitchet-pc.gov.uk or leave a comment below.

Cllr Cunningham and his team have asked that his staff have enough time to provide us with comprehensive answers to our questions.

 Deadline for questions

If possible, we will include your questions along with our own, but you will need to get your questions into us before Friday 1st November.

Once received and considered by the Parish Council, Cllr Cunningham’s responses will be posted on our website.
