Flood alert issued for the Stansted area

Following yesterday’s heavy rains a flood alert has been issued for the Stansted area.

The flood alert for Stansted Mountfitchet issued by the Environment Agency indicates there is a potential for flooding.

Flood wardens are keeping an eye on the levels of Stansted Brook.

If you are worried about possible flooding, we have a small supply of sandbags outside the Mountfitchet Exchange.

You can also report any incidences of flooding to the Essex Highways: https://rb.gy/5mqngp
