288 MATTERS ARISING
213-3 – Still no contact from Vine HR re transferring staff onto NALC scales. Need to consider how to progress this – try EALC again.
Members of the Council were invited to give feedback on members of staff prior to this meeting. Cllr Richards has received comments from Cllrs Barnes and O’Brien.
213-7 – the Vexatious Behaviour policy has now been adopted by the Council.
289 MOVE INTO THE MOUNTFITCHET EXCHANGE – IMPACT ON WORKLOAD
The Clerk reported that visitors to the new building, specifically to visit the Parish Council, are very few and far between – not even one per day. The workload in this respect has therefore not increased. The way in which officers have to work is more challenging with one always covering the reception desk, and the other in the back office. Discussion is more difficult and should someone wish to meet with the person covering the front desk, that is not easy when library staff are also present. However, working conditions have improved no end and staff morale is higher as a result!

292 FEEDBACK FROM THE COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE
The Committee has met once with the Clerk and will do so again during March.
293 JOB DESCRIPTIONS
The Chairman has reviewed them. The Clerk’s needs to be updated. Others may change in light of discussions relating to staffing.
294 STAFFING CAPACITIES
A discussion took place regarding future staffing levels and the roles required to deliver the Council’s services in an efficient and timely manner.
295 STAFF APPRAISALS AND SALARY REVIEW
The Council had allowed for an increase of up to 2%. The updated appraisals would be circulated to all members for a final decision at the next meeting.
296 PASTORAL SUPPORT
Discussion took place around recognition of health and well-being of all staff members which will be kept under review.
