Stansted Fire Station

The fire station is keen to recruit some new faces to join its crew of on-call firefighters. You need to be 18+ but there is no upper age limit. Both men and women are equally welcome. Yes you need to be in reasonable shape, but the main recruitment criteria is proximity to the Fire Station on Chapel Hill — you need to be able to get to the station within 5 minutes. Trainees are paid for attending training nights as well as callouts, with retained firefighters earning on average £4k to £6k a year. Find out more at join.essex-fire.gov.uk
