Grants to get your career back on track

Did you know there is up to £1,500 available to put towards a training course for yourself or to get your staff up-skilled?

If you earn less than £35,000 a year and are a resident in Uttlesford, you could be eligible for a skills for work grant.

The aim of the grant is to support residents and employees of local businesses to access courses, learn new skilsl and advance their career. Examples of how the money could be used include training up to become a fork-lift or HGV driver or earning a level 3 qualification in being a carer.

Grants of up to £1,500 are available to fund training and courses by an accredited training provider which result in a formal qualification.

The scheme is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which is a central pillar of the last government’s Levelling Up agenda.
