You can now pick up a poppy or badge from our reception desk ahead of Remembrance Day in November.
Donations for poppies and badges can be left in the Royal British Legion collection box on our reception desk at the Mountfitchet Exchange, 10am-2pm Monday to Friday.
You can also do so when the Library is open:

Wednesday 2-5.30pm
Thursday 2-7pm
Saturday 9am-5pm.
Remembrance Service 2023
This year the Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday, November 12 in the Memorial Gardens on Chapel Hill. It will be led by Rev’d Dr Colin Fairweather. Following the service refreshments will be served in the Church Hall.
Event details:
Time: Gather from 10.30am
Place: St John’s Memorial Gardens, Chapel Hill
Parade Route: From Crafton Green car park, down Chapel Hill to the Memorial Gardens. The parade will be led by service personnel from Carver Barracks.
Traffic Management: Traffic will be held in both directions along Chapel Hill from 10.40 to 10.50am. Drivers using the village roads at this time are asked to consider their speed and noise until the service has finished at around 11.30am, and ideally to find an alternative route before this time.
