Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to close Bury Lodge Lane from 6am on Monday, 23rd September to 6pm on Tuesday, September 24th.
Effect of the order
To temporarily close that length of Bury Lodge Lane, Stansted in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 1180m in a south westerly then south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd September 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (N5004P100774N0022855/R63 – The Electricity Network Company Limited).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow oversized vehicle access to site.
An alternative route
An alternative route is available via Bury Lodge Lane, Round Coppice Road, Priory Wood Roundabout, A120, Stansted Road, Pines Hill, Silver Street, Chapel Hill, Church Road and vice versa.
Emergency access
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order came into effect on 5th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
